What local-first actually means
- Works fully offline — budgets, goals, debt, investments, reports: all computed on-device. Airplane mode changes nothing.
- No bank credentials — nothing to hand over, nothing to breach. Import statement files (CSV/OFX/QFX/QIF) whenever you choose.
- Local encryption & biometric login — plus an incognito mode for over-the-shoulder moments.
- Your account is only for your subscription — the central account verifies your plan and sends optional monthly email recaps; it never receives your transactions.
Private doesn’t mean primitive
The smart features run locally too: auto-categorization learned from your own history, duplicate and refund detection, subscription tracking with price-creep alerts, 90-day cashflow forecasting, debt payoff optimization and tax estimation — all without your data leaving the machine.
